Area Manager – North East & Scotland

Your purpose

Area Managers play a key role at Ascenti, acting as the first line of operational leadership within our physiotherapy network. You will work to advance our patient care standards and operational excellence, helping us to progress our ambitions for the future.

Being an Area Manager is about supporting and nurturing your team to be the best they can. An Area Manager leads and manages a team of physiotherapists to deliver services to our customers and patients.

How your role fits within our team

As an Area Manager you will lead and manage a team of physiotherapists. You will be the first port of call for your team if they need signposting, support or if something goes wrong.

Formal authority and hierarchy doesn’t appeal to you. You know that the best way to lead a team of physiotherapists, is to respect their clinical opinion, collaborate, and support them when they need your help. You will develop meaningful working relationships with your team, regularly reviewing their performance, listening to their feedback, coaching them to improve and celebrating their successes.

You will naturally take accountability and be ready to ‘get stuck in’, making sure that you have the right blend of skills across your team. This will mean supporting physiotherapists to achieve their ambitions, managing performance consistently and fairly, and working to achieve agreed budgets or measures. Above all, you will celebrate diversity and create an environment where your team feel able to bring their true selves to work.
