Appointment Booker (Fixed-term contract) - Fareham

Your purpose

Our Appointment bookers are critical in ensuring Ascenti’s patients are booked for treatments as accurately and as soon as possible.

You will be responsible for warm calling a range of customers, including those seeking Blue Badge assessments, NHS treatments, private, medico legal and occupational health referrals, and receiving inbound calls from customers.

How your role fits within our team

You will join a team of appointment bookers, all with the same goal of completing a high number of quality calls and providing a high standard of service to every patient.

Key responsibilities

Warm calling clients to book them in for physiotherapy and medical assessments at one of our nationwide clinics.
A mixture of working from the office and working from home in accordance with Government guidelines, having access to your own computer and phone is desirable.
Using IT systems to link appointments to a patient’s medical file and update our instructing parties with the relevant information.
Working as part of a team to ensure as many patients as possible are booked in to our clinics and have their appointments arranged quickly and efficiently.
You will require versatility and attention to detail to meet the demands of our differing instructing parties and contracts.

Knowledge experience and qualifications

Knowledge & skills

Essential

  • Strong computer literacy and IT skills
  • Attention to detail coupled with a drive to complete task lists and work to strict key performance indicators at all times
  • Good customer service skills, such as rapport building and using positive word patterns to complete calls quickly and with a high level of care

Desirable

  • Excellent administration and organisation
  • A proven ability to convert calls or customer experiences successfully, such as evidence of ‘closing’ based sales skills

Experience

Essential

  • Working in a target or deadline-based role previously
  • Strong communications skills and experience of providing a service / support within an organisation

Desirable

  • Previous office experience or a desire to develop in this area
  • Previous phone based experience, either on outbound or inbound calls
  • Experience with using virtual software for meetings, such as MS Teams or Zoom, as it is likely part of this role will involve home working

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent professional experience

Desirable

  • Any evidence of additional training or related personal development
