About the job

As a Product Designer (UI/UX) working within our agile teams, you’ll be integral to the transformation of our product development effort, focusing on delivering a consistent and human-centric approach to UI and UX design across our portfolio.

As a core member of our patient experience team, you’ll act as the UI/UX lead for our in-house mobile app, creating assets and a common design language for future development of our product roadmap. You will also be working across sprint teams to transform digital experiences for our employees, therapists and business partners.  The role will be both hands-on and strategic as you contribute to the future vision of our brand and products and align this to our wider business objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the digital team’s product design roadmap.
  • Deliver a consistent customer experience and design ethos across our product portfolio.
  • Work closely with project stakeholders to gather requirements and drive UI/UX projects from concept to delivery.
  • Use modern prototyping and design tools to turn ideas into high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Create and iterate on ‘production ready’ assets and hand these over to our development team.
  • Create user personas, journeys, and sitemaps to visualise our patient and clinician pathways.
  • Work alongside our external agency and our in-house communications team to ensure our brand is executed effectively.
  • Establish a programme to conduct user and competitor research into UX / UI and feed this into decision making.
  • Using analytics tools to engage more users and measure the impact of product development changes.
  • Provide visual design services to other departments and the wider company as required.   

Essential experience and skills

  • Experience creating assets using tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Prior use of analytics tools – Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Hotjar or similar.
  • Operational knowledge of responsive and scalable designs and UI frameworks across platforms (iOS, Android and web)
  • Demonstrable experience of user experience (UX) and interaction design.
  • Previous experience working as part of an agile development process.
  • Engaging presentation skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong portfolio that showcases your work across a mix of web and mobile projects.
