Finding our clinic

Our assessment centre is based inside Prettygate Library on Prettygate Road, just off The Cmns. 

It's conveniently located with bus stops outside the library and Colchester Town railway station a 10-minute cab ride away.

Once you have arrived at the building, please report to the ground floor reception and let them know you are there for your assessment with Ascenti. The library does not open until 9am and patients will not be allowed in before this time.

If you’ve not visited us before, we recommend arriving about five minutes before your appointment start time in case you have any issues finding us.

Please remember to bring proof of ID to your appointment. 

Accepted Forms of ID:

•    Passport: A UK or foreign passport

•    Driving Licence: A UK driving licence (full or provisional) with a photograph

•    Biometric Residence Permit (BRP): For non-UK nationals

•    Birth Certificate

•    Marriage/Divorce Certificate or Civil Partnership/Dissolution Certificate

Note: Bus passes are not acceptable for verification

Parking 

There is limited parking in the library car park. Alternatively, there is on-street parking with no yellow lines down Prettygate Road and Common Road adjacent to the library, both 300 metres walk away. Please allow enough time for parking before your appointment.

Disabled access 

Disabled parking is available in the library car park. If full, disabled parking is available on Common Road adjacent to the library.  The building is suitable for people with disabilities but please be aware there is a slight ramp into the assessment room.
