How to find your clinic
From Chorley, you will need to travel along Market Street, leave Market Street and head towards Halliwell Street, turn right into Gillbrand Street. You will need to bear left onto Avondale Road and then immediately turn left onto Library Street. Once you arrive at Library Street, the last intersection is Avondale Road. The clinic can be found on the corner. From the M6, you will need to leave Blyborough Close and turn right onto Chaseley Road. Turn immediately right onto Bolton Road. Take the slip road on the left to the A6/Broad Street, the road names then changes to the A580/East Lancashire Road, take the sliproad to the M61 towards Preston and take the sliproad left. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit to the A674/Millennium Way, at the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A6/Preston Road and pass through the next two roundabouts, remaining on the A6. Bear left onto Park Road and then right onto the A581, turn left onto Devonshire Road, left onto West Street where the road names changes to Lennon Street. The road name will then change to Avondale Road, from here turn left onto Library Street. The last intersection is Avondale Road. If you reach Peel Street, you have gone to far.
There is a surgery car park and two pay and display car carks nearby. Street parking is available with an adequate number of spaces.
Other transport options
The nearest Bus Stop is approximately 3 minute walk away on Hamilton Road and there is an Asda Chorley Superstore nearby. Chorley railway station is approximately 0.4 miles from the clinic.
There are two disabled bays at the clinic, and plenty at the public car parks. Access to the building is on the ground floor and the clinic is also located on the ground floor.
What to do on arrival
There is a reception area in the main entrance of the surgery. If you explain that you are visiting for your appointment with Ascenti, the receptionist will direct you to our treatment room.

Preparing for your appointment
What should I wear?
With your consent, you may be asked to remove or move clothing so that they can easily access and treat the area concerned. For this reason, it is better to wear loose and comfortable clothing that can be easily taken off or moved.
For example, if you are attending for a problem with your legs, you may wish to bring a pair of shorts. For assessment of your neck or arms, a strappy or sleeveless top may be useful.
If for religious or personal reasons you are not happy to undress, please inform your physiotherapist who will be able to adapt the treatment if necessary.
Can I bring my children with me to my appointment?
Yes, you can bring children and minors to the appointment with you. They will have to join you in the treatment room.
Do I need to bring any form of ID?
No. You do not need to bring any ID to your appointment.
Treatment - what to expect
What will happen at my initial assessment?
Your physiotherapist will ask you to tell them as much as you can about the issues that you are experiencing.
They will need to assess you and look at the area of your body causing you problems, so you should be prepared to remove some clothing if necessary.
Your physiotherapist will explain what your issue or injury is likely to be and the ways that we can help to treat the problem.
There may be some time for treatment at the end of the session, but this will depend on your condition.
What will happen at my follow up appointments?
Your physiotherapist will only have time to focus on one or two issues at each of your follow up appointments, so you should talk to them about what is a priority for you.
At the start of every appointment your physiotherapist will ask if there have been any changes since your last visit.
Most of your appointment will be spent treating you – learn more about treatment with us.
How long do appointments last?
If you are pay as you go or private customer your initial assessment will last around 30 minutes and follow up treatment sessions will also last around 30 minutes each.
Many people report feeling an immediate sense of relief during and after these treatments, but it is also common to experience some discomfort, such as:
• Pain or tenderness around the area
• The feeling of heat or warmth
• Irritation or redness
Initial discomfort like this is completely normal and you should feel better after three days.
Your physiotherapist will give you advice about how to manage post therapeutic effects, which may include avoiding any strenuous activity and applying ice to the area.
