The charity walk was part of Ascenti Physio’s wider partnership with Cancer Research UK, our employee-chosen charity partner until 2028. For the team, it was a meaningful way to give back and to honour patients, colleagues, friends, and loved ones affected by cancer.
“We help people get back on their feet, now we’re using ours to beat cancer,” said Sophie Bloor, one of the physios who took part in the walk.
Along the woodland trail, the team completed light-hearted challenges such as a 10-metre crab walk, and took time to celebrate their efforts with cake, fresh air, and great conversation.
“From rehab rooms to the great outdoors, we were walking to heal beyond our clinic walls.” said Ana Pinilla Bermudez.
The walk also offered a rare opportunity for colleagues, many of whom work in different locations, to come together and build stronger connections beyond their day-to-day clinic roles — all of which was captured in a short highlights video that you can watch here.
Their commitment to raising money for cancer research in the UK shows the compassion, energy, and purpose that drives our clinical teams every day.
Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research in the UK, funding vital work to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer through scientific discovery and clinical trials.
At Ascenti Physio, we’re incredibly proud of our West & Wales physio team, who raised more than £1,600 through their Bristol charity walk, a truly inspiring effort that reflects the compassion and determination of our people.
While donations to the team’s walk have now closed, our support for Cancer Research UK continues. We’ll be fundraising throughout our partnership, which runs until 2028.
Visit our main fundraising page to support the cause or follow our progress. Together, we can help fund life-saving research and make a real difference for people affected by cancer across the UK.
