About the role

We’re looking for a People Advisor to join our People Team on a part-time, 12-month fixed-term basis. This is a pivotal role that supports our managers to lead confidently, build capability, and deliver great outcomes for their teams.

You’ll be the go-to expert for people-related matters within your business area, providing HR advice, coaching managers, and supporting casework in a way that empowers and upskills others. You’ll also play a key part in projects that bring our values to life - from inclusion and wellbeing initiatives to organisational development.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong HR foundation and advisory experience who thrives in a collaborative, people-focused environment. You’ll work as part of a supportive and experienced team, with the space to grow and make a real impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a People Advisor, you’ll:

  • Provide first-line HR guidance and coaching to managers across your area.
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders to support capability and confidence.
  • Lead and support on employee relations casework, escalating where appropriate.
  • Help implement plans for engagement, development, and succession.
  • Contribute to people initiatives around wellbeing, inclusion, and cultural engagement.
  • Work on cross-functional HR projects with the wider People Team.
  • Monitor data trends and support continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture that reflects our values and enhances livelihoods.

Knowledge, experience, and qualifications

  • Demonstrates a good understanding of relevant UK legislation; particularly employment law and worker-related regulation
  • Working effectively to juggle competing priorities and balancing quality and quantity of work.
  • Experience working in a HR environment.
  • Previous experience working in an HR advisory capacity.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
  • Achieved CIPD Level 3 and/or working towards CIPD Level 5.
